DESCRIPTION:The City of Kankakee and Diversity\, Inc. will be presenting a workshop June 18\, 2013 starting a 9:00 am at the Village of Bourbonnais Activity Center\, 700 Maine Street\, NW Bourbonnais\, Il. Real Estate Professionals\, Bankers\, Mortgage lenders\, Property owners and Rental Managers as well as Municipal Officials\, Planning and Development staff are encouraged to attend. Organizations that receive federal and state funds can learn more about new federal requirements to promote fair Housing. Participants will also to receive information on Accessibility Guidelines and HUD Fair Housing advertising regulations. Personnel from the Region V office of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development\, Fair Housing Section will be on hand. The South Suburban Housing Center\, the Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights will also be available. A special feature of these programs is a presentation by the Center for Multicultural Communities\; the Center will present enlightening background on the root cause of a need to achieve greater economic opportunity\, more equity and a more robust and competitive housing market.\n\n\n\nTo register Contact: Diversity\, Inc.
